For cutting facets on delicate and brittle materials, nothing beats the precision and durability of Sintered Faceting Laps. Designed for use on glass, ceramics, crystals, and ultra-hard materials, these laps are essential tools in the polishing and grinding industry. Featuring diamond matrix depths of 3.5mm or 5mm and precision-ground steel cores, our sintered laps are renowned for their exceptional performance and longevity, providing professionals with the confidence to tackle any facet-cutting task.

When it comes to cutting facets on delicate and brittle materials like glass, ceramics, and crystals, or ultra-hard materials, you need a sintered diamond flat lap. Our Sintered Faceting Laps are designed to meet the demands of the polishing and grinding industry for these materials. With a diamond matrix depth of 3.5mm or 5mm, and precision-ground steel cores, our sintered laps are the most durable and long-lasting on the market.

Compared to Inland and Crystalite sintered laps, our laps have a deeper diamond matrix, which exposes new cutting points as the wheels are used. This means that our laps cut just as aggressively on the first facet as the last, and can be dressed to expose additional crystals for a more aggressive cut. However, dressing is not always necessary if you follow a "side to side" pattern when grinding to ensure even wear.

Our Sintered Diamond Laps come in a range of sizes, from 4" to 12", with diamond matrix widths of 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 90mm, and 100mm. Dynamic balancing at the factory ensures concentricity for smooth and quiet grinding .

If you need to cut more facets than you can count, choose our Sintered Diamond Laps for the highest quality and most durable performance in the industry. Our 600 grit sintered laps and other sintered laps are the perfect choice for professionals and hobbyists alike.Diamond Mesh: 60 80 100 180 220 360 600 Grit

FAQ

Q: Hvad er sintrede omgange til facettering?
If you've been using plated laps, then upgrade your faceting game with sintered laps. These are a copper and diamond matrix on an aluminum. The laps are light weight but with a long lasting lifespan. The laps have approximately 5mm (1/5") of diamond sintered copper.
Q: What is a sintered diamond faceting lap?
A sintered diamond faceting lap is a lapidary tool made by sintering diamond abrasive particles onto a metal substrate. This process creates a durable and long-lasting abrasive surface suitable for polishing gemstone facets.
Spørgsmål: Hvad er fordelene ved at bruge sintrede diamant facettering omgange?
High cutting efficiency: Sintered diamond laps offer excellent cutting performance, allowing for efficient shaping and polishing of gemstone facets. Longevity: The sintered diamond abrasive surface is highly durable and resistant to wear, providing long-lasting performance. Consistency: Sintered diamond laps can produce consistent facet shapes and finishes, resulting in high-quality gemstone faceting. Versatility: They can be used for faceting a wide range of gemstone materials, including hard and abrasive stones.
Q: How to dress a sintered lap?
My favorite clean-up for my sintered laps is using barkeeper's friend and a scotch pad. It removed the build up rather well. When completed they run smooth and cut well. I usually scrub until the entire surface looks brassy new.
Sintered diamond faceting laps are suitable for faceting various gemstone materials, including quartz, sapphire, ruby, spinel, garnet, tourmaline, and many others. They are particularly well-suited for faceting harder gemstones that may be challenging to work with using other lapidary tools.
